Enterprise Software

Off-the-shelf software gets you 80% there. The last 20% is where the value is.

We build custom applications, connect enterprise systems, and modernize legacy platforms, always with an eye toward what your team can maintain after we leave.

Enterprise Software

CorrDyn designs, builds, and integrates custom enterprise software: internal tools and portals in React and Django, workflow automation that encodes multi-step business rules with proper error handling, legacy application modernization that wraps aging systems in modern APIs, and customer-facing applications built on your own infrastructure. We work across Python, TypeScript, Postgres, and Kubernetes, and every application ships with monitoring, documentation, and a handoff plan so your team can maintain it independently.

Use Cases

Engagements where this is the right work.

Custom internal tools and portals

Replace the spreadsheets and workarounds your team runs on with purpose-built applications that fit how they work, not how a vendor thinks they should.

Workflow automation software

Multi-step processes that span systems and encode complex business rules need purpose-built software, not another Zapier chain. We build applications that automate these workflows with proper error handling, audit trails, and human escalation paths.

Legacy application modernization

Wrap aging systems with modern APIs, migrate functionality incrementally, and retire technical debt without the risk of a full rewrite.

Customer or partner-facing applications

Portals, self-service tools, and branded interfaces that let external users interact with your data or services. We build these on your infrastructure so you own the experience and the data.

Embedded analytics and customer-facing dashboards

Your product needs analytics inside it, not bolted on. We build embedded dashboards your customers see — with the access controls and tenant isolation that takes.

Our Process

A structured approach that delivers results at every stage.

01

Design and Build

When off-the-shelf solutions do not fit, we build custom software tailored to your organization's specific workflows and requirements. Our development practice emphasizes clean architecture, thorough testing, and documentation that enables your team to maintain and extend the system independently.

Output: Working application with tests, deployment automation, and source code

02

Connect Your Systems

Most enterprises run dozens of software systems that do not talk to each other effectively. CorrDyn specializes in connecting these systems, ERP, CRM, LIMS, data warehouses, and analytics platforms, into connected platforms where data flows reliably and processes span system boundaries without manual intervention.

From our podcasts: Electronic Lab Notebooks with SciNote, Streamlining Bioanalytical Workflows with Watson LIMS, and 8 Ways to Survive the SaaSpocalypse.

Output: Integration layer with retries, error handling, and audit logging

03

Operate and Hand Off

Every application we build ships with monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks. We run the system through its first production cycle, fix what surfaces under real usage, and iterate on feedback from your team. When the application is stable, we transfer ownership through documentation, code walkthroughs, and hands-on training. If you want ongoing support, we offer maintenance agreements for bug fixes, feature development, and infrastructure updates that scale down as your team takes over.

Output: Runbook, ownership transfer, and a 30-day support window

Frequently Asked
Questions

Do you build custom software from scratch or integrate existing tools?
Both. We evaluate whether a custom solution, an off-the-shelf tool, or a hybrid approach best serves your needs. Many engagements involve connecting existing enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, LIMS) with custom middleware and automation layers.
How do you handle legacy system modernization?
We take an incremental approach: wrap legacy systems with modern APIs, migrate functionality module by module, and maintain backward compatibility throughout. This reduces risk compared to big-bang rewrites and lets you realize value incrementally.
How do you make sure we can maintain the software after you leave?
We build on open standards and widely adopted frameworks, never proprietary tools that tie you to us. Every application ships with documentation, operational runbooks, and architecture decision records. We do code walkthroughs with your team throughout the engagement, not just at the end. The goal is that your developers can read, debug, and extend anything we build without calling us first.
How long does custom software development take?
It depends on scope. Standalone applications with limited integration typically run 2-4 months from kickoff to production. Systems that must integrate with existing business processes, replace legacy tools, or support complex workflows can take 6-12 months or more. Adoption, training, and people-process migrations typically take the longest portion of an enterprise software engagement. We ship usable increments every 2-3 weeks so you can course-correct early.
Can you maintain the software after you build it?
Yes. We offer ongoing support agreements for monitoring, bug fixes, and feature development. But our goal is always to build systems your team can own. That means clean code, thorough documentation, and knowledge transfer throughout the engagement.
What technologies do you use for custom development?
Python and TypeScript are our primary languages. For web applications we use React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Infrastructure runs on Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform across AWS, GCP, and Azure. We pick tools based on what your team already knows and what the problem requires.

Need software that fits your workflow, not the other way around?

Off-the-shelf got you most of the way. Let’s build the last mile that makes the difference.
