The situation
A healthcare data management company serves insurance carriers, pharmacy benefit managers, and third-party administrators. Its clients need visibility into claims activity, utilization patterns, and posting rates — the kind of operational data that drives day-to-day decisions about member health and plan performance.
The company had the data. What it lacked was a way to surface that data to clients inside the product. Reporting was manual, siloed from the portal, and required staff effort to produce. There was no single pane of glass for a carrier or TPA to review their own claims and utilization in real time.
CorrDyn was brought in to assess the data environment and design a path forward.
What we built
The assessment produced a clear picture of where data lived, how it moved, and what was needed to make it accessible for embedded analytics. CorrDyn then built the proof of concept in 45 days, covering the full stack from ingestion to embedded dashboard.
Estuary handles change data capture and ingestion, moving data from source systems into a MotherDuck warehouse without the operational overhead of a heavier CDC platform. A dbt transformation layer sits on top, modeling the raw data into clean, governed tables. Omni connects to those models and renders dashboards inside the company’s existing client portal through its embedded interface.
Four dashboards are live, covering utilization tracking, claims review, anomaly detection, and rate analysis. Each one is configured with drill-down capability so clients can move from summary metrics into the specific records driving them. CI/CD runs through GitHub Actions, giving the team a tested deployment path as models and dashboards evolve.
All data handling meets HIPAA requirements throughout the pipeline.
What changed
Clients can now open the portal and see their own utilization, claims, and posting activity without requesting a report or waiting for a manual export. The company moved from ad-hoc data delivery to a self-service model built into the product itself.
The engagement transitioned from the PoC to ongoing data engineering and BI development on a fixed monthly budget. CorrDyn works in regular weekly check-ins with the company’s team, handling new data models, anomaly tracking enhancements, and drill-down configurations as the product roadmap grows.
