The Challenge
An online university specializing in K-12 art teacher professional development was experiencing rapid growth but lacked the data infrastructure to sustain it. As the institution expanded into new products (an online master’s degree program and enterprise sales channels), its existing systems could not keep pace. Leadership had no unified visibility into performance across departments, and there were no quantifiable frameworks in place to evaluate investment decisions. Critical data was siloed across disconnected platforms, leaving decision-makers reliant on intuition rather than evidence.
Our Approach
CorrDyn designed and built an integrated data pipeline that unified data from across the university’s technology ecosystem — website analytics, CRM, learning management system, payment processor, accounting software, and media management platforms — into a centralized data warehouse. From that foundation, we developed a suite of Tableau BI dashboards tailored to each department’s needs, giving 18 department heads direct visibility into the metrics that mattered most to their operations.
We integrated the data warehouse with HubSpot CRM to ensure that enrollment, marketing, and sales teams were working from a single source of truth. To support strategic planning, we built automated forecasting models that gave leadership forward-looking views of enrollment trends and revenue projections. We also automated several labor-intensive business processes — including scholarship administration, class roster management, and invoicing — freeing staff to focus on higher-value strategic work. Finally, we created a NoSQL data store to capture and analyze granular website event data, enabling the marketing team to understand user behavior at a level of detail that was previously impossible.
The Results
The impact was immediate and substantial. Annual revenue grew by 87%, driven in large part by data-informed decisions around new product launches and marketing spend allocation. Eighteen department heads gained direct access to dashboards and reporting tools, replacing ad hoc spreadsheet requests with self-service analytics. Staff members who had previously spent significant time on manual data compilation and reporting were redeployed to strategic initiatives, accelerating the university’s ability to execute on its growth roadmap.
